FIFA World Cup AFC Qualifiers: Uzbekistan earn maiden qualification following goalless draw with UAE

ABU DHABI, 5th June, 2025 (WAM) – Uzbekistan reached their first FIFA World Cup™ by drawing with the United Arab Emirates.

The UAE now progress to the fourth round with 14 points, and another shot at reaching what would be a second global finals.

Uzbekistan did survive several nervy moments, however, with goalkeeper Utkir Yusupov making a pair of smart saves to deny our national team late on.
